About Canadrill

Canadrill Ltd. is an Inuit-owned and operated drilling, piling and structural steel contractor headquartered in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Since 1979 we have built foundations in some of the most remote communities in Canada, working across Nunavut, the Northwest Territories and Northern Quebec. Equipment and crews are positioned in the North, and we plan every job around sealift windows, air cargo and short building seasons. We are a registered Inuit firm on the NTI Inuit Firm Registry (IFR0772) and the Government of Nunavut NNI Registry (Company No. 1837).

How We Work

ONE TEAM

One Foundation Team

Structural design through our engineer, drilling, pile installation, welding and steel fabrication under one contract, so one team is accountable for the foundation.

ENGINEERING

We work from the engineer's design and provide installation records and as-builts at close-out.

Engineering-Led

FABRICATION

Steel is fabricated in-house, including CNC plasma-cut plates and brackets, welded to CSA W47.1 (CWB certified).

Our Own Shop

SAFETY

Our crews work to written safe work procedures, with daily site documentation and a management on-call rotation so field crews always have support.
